Celebrate the age of someone, a wedding, an organisation, an event or an idea and ask for donations.

Ball

You could have a theme or a special menu. These events can be hugely successful, but remember to plan for upfront costs.

Choir Evening

Local choirs may perform and perhaps even compete-you could charge for entry, sell refreshments and run a raffle.

Collection Boxes and Carrier Bags

Collection boxes and carrier bags to help with your fund raising can be ordered online by emailing info@pbcfoundation.org.uk.

Dress Down Days

Participants pay a donation to dress down for a day at school or work.

Garden Party

A traditional event in your garden, or a mansion or stately home. Invite supporters, other organisations and the public. Provide sandwiches, teas and cakes – charge an entry fee or ask for a donation.

Theme Evenings

Murder mystery evening, 80’s dress, Hawaiian night, arrange food along with raffle and a quiz, either sell tickets r ask for donations.

Just Giving Website

Some of you may have heard of the Just Giving website before – it is a great way for fundraisers to collect sponsor money for events they are taking part in.  We have been registered on the site for the last 14 months and the London marathon runners have made great use of the facility, raising over £4000 through the site.  The idea is simple – we have a dedicated charity page where fundraisers can sign up to publicise their event.  They get their own homepage, which can be e-mailed out to family and friends who can then sponsor them online using their credit or debit cards.

The best part of the site is that, if a taxpayer is kind enough to make a pledge or to sponsor you, the site automatically registers for gift aid, meaning that we receive an extra £2.80 for every £10 that is pledged.  All monies raised go directly to the PBC Foundation account so this also removes the need for you to go round collecting the money after the event – the Just Giving site does all the work for you, so you can concentrate on recovering after your sponsored event!

The site is very easy to use and our PBC Foundation homepage can be found at http://www.justgiving.com/pbc/donate/.  Just follow the simple instructions and you can have your own sponsorship page and even publish a photograph of yourself!  So if your planning on doing a sky dive, a sponsored walk or any event where you need sponsors, please have a look at this facility and see if it can work for you!

There are many things here to choose from, we will add different ideas from time to time to give you a variety of things to consider and don’t forget to Gift Aid if you can! Any funds raised can be sent into the office by cheque made out to the PBC Foundation (UK) Ltd.

Thank you in advance for any fundraising activities run on our behalf, we here at the PBC Foundation always appreciate any efforts to raise much needed funds and awareness.
