Donating Goods

The foundation is always happy to accept your unwanted goods, whether its children’s toys, jewellery, pictures and ceramics.

When we feel we have enough items, we will arrange a date and venue in Edinburgh to sell the goods at a car boot sale. We are always looking for volunteers to organise a sale and collect items, so please feel free to contact the office if you would like to be part of the next one.

Alternatively, you can sell your unwanted items on eBay and donate the proceeds to the Foundation.

We have been collecting mobile phones for re-cycling over the last few years and have had an enormous response up and down the country. Any mobile phone, old or new is beneficial to the foundation, as we receive a donation for every phone that can be re-used.

Estimates state that close to 90 million phones are hiding in drawers and cupboards across the UK and more than 30 million inkjet cartridges are dumped each year in the UK.

Visit Recycling Appeal to donate any unwanted mobile phone or used ink cartridges. They have a simple form to fill in and will send you a free post envelope so you can send them your mobile phones and ink cartridges for recycling. The form will ask you to choose the charity you are collecting for and we are, as yet, not on this list so just choose ‘other’. This will create a new box where you can type The PBC Foundation as the charity you wish to collect for.

Alternatively, you can post your old phones and ink cartridges to our office:

PBC Foundation (UK) Ltd, 54 Queen Street, Edinburgh, EH2 3NS

Thank you to everyone who has sent in their old phones.
