Payroll Giving

Payroll giving or Give as you Earn allows an employee to give to the foundation on a monthly basis straight from your salary. This type of donation is taken before tax so that for every £1 donated, you give 80p and the taxman pays the difference.

Payroll giving is voluntary and the amount you donate is up to you. If you want to stop at any time, please contact your payroll department.

How does it work within an organisation?

To participate in Payroll Giving your company has to be registered with a Payroll Giving Agency (PGA) They make sure that the funds are allocated to the correct charity. If your company is not currently registered with a PDA, then they can choose from the following:

CAF (Charities Aid Fund): www.cafonline.org / 01732 520019

Charities Trust: www.charitiestrust.org / 0870 708 7878

South West Charitable Giving: www.charitablegiving.co.uk /01822 611180

The Payroll Giving centre is an on-line resource for all payroll giving queries to help companies, charities and individuals: www.payrollgivingcentre.org.uk
