Payroll Giving
Payroll giving or Give as you Earn allows an employee to give to the foundation on a monthly basis straight from your salary. This type of donation is taken before tax so that for every £1 donated, you give 80p and the taxman pays the difference.
Payroll giving is voluntary and the amount you donate is up to you. If you want to stop at any time, please contact your payroll department.
How does it work within an organisation?
To participate in Payroll Giving your company has to be registered with a Payroll Giving Agency (PGA) They make sure that the funds are allocated to the correct charity. If your company is not currently registered with a PDA, then they can choose from the following:
