The PBC Foundation is the only UK organisation exclusively dedicated to providing support and information to those affected by PBC
Become a Regional Volunteer
Our Volunteer network is one of the key services we provide to our membership. It is also a very rewarding and fulfilling role. Whilst it takes up much less time than most would imagine, it is a wonderful opportunity to give back to the Foundation, its members and your community.
There is much to be said for the day you are diagnosed with PBC as this allows you to make informed decisions about your life, your condition and your day to day living. Another important day is the day when you meet someone else diagnosed with PBC. This is the day when a lot of your fears are allayed. Allaying fears is just one of the opportunities afforded to our Volunteers. As a Volunteer, you can host a local meeting, bringing together people with PBC (some for the first time) and allaying those very fears, maybe that you had when you were first diagnosed.
As a Volunteer, you can be involved in deciding the way forward for the Foundation, bringing ideas and suggestions to the Volunteers' Conference, allowing the organisation to move forward with new innovations. You will have the chance to hold fundraising and awareness raising events, educating the general public about PBC, sharing that important fact that PBC is not related to alcohol or drug abuse.
The prospect of being able to give back is there. And we will have an opening in your area. So, come and join the team. You can contact us to discuss this wonderful opportunity by clicking here.
