Michaela Reeve’s 82km London to Brighton Cycle

10/9/2023 | London to Brighton

The Brave Daughter of our Oxford Volunteer Trixie Rowe, Michaela is taking on the amazing challenge of cycling from London to Brighton on the 10th September

In December 2019 Michaela was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. All through her sixteen cycles of chemotherapy then Radiotherapy, she was so positive and amazing. Very determined to complete the course and keep fit.

During the first Covid-19 lockdown Trixie and Michaela would exercise together in the evening under the street lights. During the days when Michaela felt good she made seventeen quilts for friends and family and one quilt was auctioned for a breast cancer charity. She is a family counsellor, and also managed to fit in clients with video calls. When the chemotherapy was complete she had her operation at the Cromwell Hospital London on the 15th June 2020.

She has gone from strength to strength, keeping herself fit and healthy. Trixie is so proud of her as she has decided to do the London to Brighton cycle ride to raise money for PBC.
