Flu Vaccination

It is that time of year again when we receive enquiries about whether or not one should have the vaccination against ‘flu.  Professor James Neuberger of Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham provides some information about the flu jab:

Many of you will have received advice about having a flu jab.  The Foundation does recommend that all those with PBC do get immunised against flu (unless there are contra-indications such as allergy).

In the UK it’s easy, your own doctor and nurse or pharmacist can answer any concerns you may have and give you the jab. Do remember to tell them you have a liver condition, any medications you are taking and any allergies you may have.

We hope this is of help.
